In addition to the fun atmostphere of the artists' market, we also enjoyed dinner outside, but not at Vera Mae's or Casa Del Sol. Instead, as I'd wanted to do on Wednesday night to celebrate being done with my annual observation, and as Chuck Lofton, our beloved weatherman on WTHR suggested yesterday morning, "the weather will be perfect for people to get out there and have some p-i-z-z-a outside for lunch...". I rewound the news five seconds and turned the volume extra loud so my husband could hear this sage wisdom; he'd poo-pooed my idea on Wednesday. But, yesterday, before walking around downtown, we picked up a $7 medium, thin-crust pizza with feta and banana peppers and ate dinner in the tailgate of his car. It was perfect; a delightful evening of few cares, good company, art, and visual and edible treats.
Here's a treat of a different kind....
