The moon has been a source of amusement and comfort on nearly every evening and morning this week. A glowing novelty arriving like an unexpected, but charming guest, it appears in the east through the kitchen window as orangey as a plump apricot, and once again, just last night, it emerged in a reddish eerie outside from behind black, posed skeletons of trees; a mishmash of resting marionettes backlit as the watchful eye opens up to see and take the night beat, our observant anchor. With the quaint, silent dance of plastic pellets of snow in a vacation-spot snowglobe, the moon hangs suspended as if whispering, “Hello…”.
