I had felt a "swat," "swat," swat" on my forehead and, at first, ignored as a just another annoyance on a night without sound sleep. However, when the "swat," swat," "swat" became nail-extended, DJ-scratching on my forehead, I recognized that as the cat who I'd pushed off my pillow a few hours early after his 2 a.m. bath became louder and louder. So, Meko's DJ-scratching on my head saw me waking up amused and thankful that the constant companion - who was even in my lap for 75% of the writing of this slice - had woken me up practically on time, and that my semi-conscious brain choose to revise the lyrics to The Eels' song "I'm Going to Stop Pretending that I Didn't Break Your Heart" to "I'm gonna start pretending that my cat woke me up...".
