A Camera for the Morning In addition to my eleven-item "To Do" list, taking these photos during my drive to work helped literally make my day. I'm glad I took a minute and a half to do a six-point-turn-around on the narrow country road to go back and take the picture I saw (above) as I rolled past this dusty, pre-sunrise house nestled between the trees reflected in yesterday's rain. I got the "need to take a picture" spark. I noticed and was tickled by the left-center tree's merry squatness amid its spiney neighbors on the right and the fullness and reflection of the woods. And this was the picture that satiated my photography bug for the morning. I have a thing for red barns; they are homey, safe, and nostalgic for me. The order of the tree-lined lane, and the mystery of a fine image finding itself shining as brightly as ever with the morning's sun on a days' old rain puddle, standing water in a field. Inverted detail.
