Remember the two seemingly random earthquakes that we've gabbed about, Tweeted about, and wondered about more than worried about here in Indiana during the last few years? Well, these really haven't been flukes; they are been an established part of life in the Midwest.
When I was little, I vaguely remember listening with a mixture of awe and disbelief when my dad told me about an 'earthquake' and the farm shaking one summer before I was born. However, the potential for earthquakes is real enough here in Indiana that the Great Central U.S. Shake Out will occur at 10:15AM on Tuesday, April 19 in our state. Seriously, "drop, cover, and hold on!" to be covered and secure while the earth and the surrounding furniture and objects shake, rattle, and roll all around you. Check out the flash activity called "Beat the Quake" as you experiment with how to get your home, bedroom, or office prepared for the possible.
