With my appreciation already stated, a critique...
I'm willing to tell the whole truth to my new friend Mr. Weebly: your "neighborhood" does not need to be another Celebration, Florida, a busi-town (not Richard Scarry, but scary: business town), a "planned community created by a real estate division of Walt Disney Company" (Craven). Disney's notoriously picturesque busi-town exists thanks to extensive planning... such extensive prefabrication of the town's identity that even residents' lawn ornament choices are restricted. What could be more modern Americana than a pink flamingo with pin wheel wings on a pike? What could be more modern individualized Internet 2.0 than offering guidance and autonomy to users? Disney-dream-town (and Weebly-we-don't-want-'em-too-free-for-OUR-own-good-website), take a cue from another beloved figure in all-American life and learning, Fred Rogers...
Just as Mr. Rogers asks of the Flying Karamazov Brothers, "What does this [marimbaphone mallets] have to do with juggling?" (2:53), I would like to be able to take what you, Weebly, have created, and inquire, replace prefabrication with the awesomeness of autonomy, and see for myself all the connections and possibilities of authoring web content. I want to play in more than a fenced yard.
